Leaving a small stone on a grave is an act of symbolically placing a marker for someone. I think of it as a way of showing remembrance for the person. It's a tradition I really love.

I've never heard of this! The other night I was watching something on tv and saw that the lady placed a rock on the marker and I wondered what in the heck she was doing. Now, I know! Thanks :)
