Sometimes the simplest pictures end up turning into favorites. I love my Chuck Taylors. I took this picture on my lunch break just goofing around and ended up loving it.

This picture represents two very happy things for me. The first relates to photography - This was the first subject I shot with my newest piece of glass. Oh how I love this lens. The second relates to my job - These cupcakes were made for "No Frownies Friday." We take turns and make food for work each Friday. The hope is that we start the weekend off on the right foot.

The Wye United Methodist Church of Arkansas plants tons of daffodils in the fields surrounding the church. Every year they hold a Daffodil Festival. It's a pretty neat. Since I posted one of the first pictures I was proud of from the 40D, I thought I'd show the first picture I was proud of from my G10.

This is one of the first pictures I took with the 40D. It was the first one I was proud of. This was take in Pinnacle Mountain State Park. It was formerly part of Highway 300, but was bypassed in 1981 when a new two lane bridge was added. This is now part of the Ouachita National Hiking Trail.

I'm from Little Rock. I have lived in Central Arkansas most of my life. When I first got into photography, I would take my point and shoot out and walk up and down random streets looking for shots. No matter where I go from here, Little Rock will always be a source of inspiration for me.

beginnings

my first picture

It seemed appropriate to start this photo blog out with the first picture I remember taking. It might actually be my very first photo. It is blurry. You can see the sleeve of my jacket at the right of the frame, but I remember being so happy to take the picture. This is of my parents and was taken in the early 1980s in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

My hope for this blog is to showcase some of my work. I hope to spotlight one picture a day. It might be old or new. I figure this way I’ll only show the best of the best.
